KWV

Close to the Pearly Bay on the southern coast of Cape is located the KWV vineyard – a lush, green and inviting wine estate. Into the business of winemaking from as long as 1918, this wine and brandy business has consistently delivered world class products.

For KWV, the focus has been on having a strong base of quality wines that can foster the launch of newer products other than wines. KWV owns brands like KWV wines, Imoya, Roodeberg, Cathedral Cellar and Wild Africa Cream – all acclaimed products in the international market. The Roodeberg especially, developed from a strong desire for a full bodied blend. From the time of its launch in 1949, Rooderberg has seen constant innovation to retain a taste that is in tune with changing lifestyles.

KWV’s philosophy of embracing the new without sacrificing the old is best exemplified in the packaging of its Wild Africa Cream – a cream liqueur. The bottle is covered with soft leopard print material and is adorned by Ubuntu beads – a connotation of the rich heritage of South Africa.

With active participation in a wide range of social development programs, KWV is truly a winemaker with a mission. It is the main sponsor for Charity Wines – a project that seeks to raise funds for donation to organizations working with children with learning disabilities and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
